GSK is increasing its investment in community health by raising awards to individual organizations from $40,000 to $50,000. It will select up to 10 winners in each region and award a total of $1,000,000 in funding to nonprofits that demonstrate excellence in their operations and make positive impacts on the health of their communities.

Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits that address one or more of the following community health factors are invited to register for a GSK IMPACT Award: Community Safety; Education; Employment & Income; Family & Social Support; Housing & Built Environment; and/or Nutrition & Physical Activity.

 

Solidaire Movement Infrastructure Fund

In 2021, Solidaire is interested in movement infrastructure proposals that support resistance through systems and tools, as well as proposals that build transformative futures through agency and scale. Examples include:

  • starting or expanding a community-owned broadband initiative;
  • building out communications tools or staff to advance narrative or culture change;
  • intervening on cases against corporations or the government with progressive legal assistance;
  • expanding organizers in rural places;
  • security training and equipment purchases; or
  • campaigns for local housing solutions.

The van Ameringen Foundation funds innovative and practical programs for early intervention, advocacy and increased accessibility of mental health services for people and communities with limited financial means and opportunities.

Duration: Up to three years

Size: Between $25,000 – $75,000 annually

  • Within its broad focus on mental health, the Foundation encourages innovative and practical grant proposals in areas which:
    •  increase the accessibility of mental health services to people and communities with limited financial means and opportunities;
    • offer preventive and early-intervention strategies;
    • advocate for systemic change with local or national impact.
