GRANTS
William Penn Foundation Request for Inquiries: Grandfamilies/Kinship Support – March 7
William Penn Foundation invites letters of inquiry for three-year projects to enhance organizations’ ability to serve grandfamilies/kinship care families in Philadelphia.
This Request for Inquiries stems from the 2020 Grandfamilies of Philadelphia study led by Generations United to provide educators, policymakers, funders, service providers, and other community members with a better understanding of the composition of grandfamilies in Philadelphia, the availability of services for them, and the degree to which they are aware of and able to access helpful services.
The foundation’s Great Learning program is interested in efforts to increase the ability of Philadelphia-based agencies to help grandfamilies support their children’s early learning and development. Research shows that when grandfamilies receive the support they need, children raised by grandparents or other relatives thrive despite the multiple challenges.
Register here for an information session to be held live on Zoom on Tuesday, February 22, at 3:00PM EST. The recording will be posted for those who are unable to attend.

The Alliance for Health Equity’s Collaborative Innovation Fund – April 1
The Alliance for Health Equity’s Collaborative Innovation Fund addresses the impact of COVID-19, Hurricane Ida, and the closure of the Brandywine Hospital on the community and nonprofit organizations by tackling the various forms of community needs, inequity in healthcare access, and the difficulties of grantmaking to partner organizations in the Greater Coatesville Area. The Collaborative Innovation Fund is an OPEN FUND opportunity that supports nonprofit and grassroots community partnerships integrating social supports addressing emotional well-being (mental health) with at least one additional SDOH community need including Education or Employment.
All interested organizations MUST attend one of The AHE Let’s Talk Collaborative Innovation sessions on February 23rd or March 2nd from 3PM-4PM. Organizations will not be able to apply until AFTER attending a Let’s Talk session.
Register for one of the Let’s Talk sessions by clicking on the date.
