The Philadelphia Foundation – FUND FOR CHILDREN GRANTS Due April 16th 

FFC Strategic Investment in Youth grants provide general operating support for Philadelphia-based youth leadership development organizations that prioritize youth leadership, civic engagement and youth organizing activities and outcomes.

Grants range from $10,000 up to $50,000.

The Patricia Kind Family Foundation, Black-led Organization Applications Due May 1

These applications are for 1-year general operating support grants of $25,000. These requests must fall within our Foundation’s guidelines of supporting organizations meeting the basic needs of those struggling daily with the effects of poverty. This includes helping individuals and families obtain physical and mental health care and related human services, such as food, shelter, clothing and education.

The application cycle opened on March 12th and will close on May 1st.  We will be reviewing applications on an on-going basis as they are submitted. Final decisions will be given after June 1st.

2021 Bartol Foundation Application Now Open, Due May 3 at 5:00pm

The Bartol Foundation awards grants to arts and culture nonprofit organizations in the City of Philadelphia each year. We believe in the power of the arts within our communities to engage, connect and educate, making access to the arts an essential part of every person’s life.

We seek to support organizations which have a significant impact with our modest grants of between $5,000 and $10,000.

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Sports Award – Due May 5

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Sports Award recognizes professional sports teams, athletes, coaches and community-based organizations that use sports to catalyze and sustain changes to make communities healthier places to live, learn, work, and play. Through this Award we lift up community-based organizations that bring a deep understanding of community needs and acknowledge the power of sports to connect us and make us healthier, no matter our race, gender, abilities, or economic background.

Up to five awards of $25,000 each may be given annually.

The John Templeton Foundation Submissions are due by June 11, 2021.

The John Templeton Foundation is pleased to announce a new funding competition in the Character Virtue Development department, with a total of $15 million available for projects.

In the “Character Through Community” Request For Proposals (RFP), we seek to assist organizations that are well-positioned to strengthen their understanding and implementation of character development through communities of practice.

Learn how to use everyone’s favorite foundation funding database, Foundation Directory Online (FDO). The user-friendly interface makes it easy to find funders that are interested in supporting your organization’s mission.

While our physical location is closed you are able to remotely access Foundation Directory Online Essential. During this workshop we will explore the Essential version of the database and show you how you can find information on:

  • Funder priorities
  • Application guidelines, key decision makers, and contact information
  • Previously awarded grants using 990s
  • Plus, learn about concierge services provided by the RFC to get search results only available in FDO Professional
