Bread & Roses Future Fund Due May 5

The Future Fund provides $5,000 grants to groups that are working on emerging issues or developing new approaches to social justice activism or community organizing. These groups may employ one or more effective strategies, such as cultural work, media advocacy, and political education.

Small Grants for grassroots groups – June 1

The Clif Family Foundation was established in 2006 to support grassroots groups with inspiring ideas and limited funds.

To that end, the foundation welcomes applications for its Small Grants program. Through the program, grants will be awarded in support of mission-driven organizations and/or projects in the areas of the environment, food and agriculture, preventative approach to people’s health, and sustainable community development.

Encouraging Citizen Involvement Program – LOI Due June 3

The Herb Block Foundation is committed to defending basic freedoms, combating all forms of discrimination and prejudice, and improving the condition of the poor and underprivileged.

The Foundation welcomes applications for its Encouraging Citizen Involvement program. Proposals may focus on citizen education and greater voter participation in the electoral process

Grants from between $5,000 and $25,000 will be awarded.

Letters of Inquiry are due June 3.

Social Change, Social Justice Grants – Jun 4

Resist Invites Applications for Social Change, Justice Grants

To advance this mission, the organization welcomes applications from grassroots organizations led by those most impacted by intersecting systems of oppression that are working to advance justice and liberation. Two types of grants will be awarded for this call:

General Support — Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded to groups that are building movements for justice and liberation and against systemic oppression through grassroots/cultural organizing, art-making, and resilience building.

Accessibility — Grants of up to $4,000 will be awarded for work that specifically allows a group’s work to be more accessible to community members with specific accessibility needs.

Join us via Zoom and discover what funders are looking for in nonprofits seeking grants. During this virtual workshop you will learn:

  • who funds nonprofits
  • what funders want to know about organizations they are interested in funding
  • how to identify potential funders and make the first approach

We will also do a demonstration of Foundation Directory Online Essential, available to RFC patrons remotely.

This workshop is part one of our three-part grant writing series. Join us for Introduction to Proposal Writing on May 11 and Intermediate Grant Writing on May 18.
